Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki has described how they will approach their league games before facing Mamelodi Sundowns in the MTN8 semi-final second-leg next week.

Amakhosi already resumed their Premiership season on Saturday when they hosted Royal AM, drawing the game 0-0 and have another tough fixture on Wednesday, against SuperSport United before coming up against the Brazilians in the MTN8 semi-final second-leg.

The Glamour Boys will have only two days to prepare before facing Sundowns in the MTN8 and Ntseki says they are looking at how fresh they can be before coming up against Masandawana.

“We’re looking into the second-leg of the MTN8 semi-final, how fresh and how ready we will be,” Ntseki said in a press conference.

“Preparations against Sundowns will start immediately after SuperSport because we’re saying we’re taking it one game at a time,” he said.

“Mentally we have a terminology that we’re using now of late, ‘focused energy’,” he added.

One wonders what difference the ‘focused energy’ had on Chiefs’ stalemate against Royal AM and whether they will produce the required focus against SuperSport in midweek, or if their minds will already collectively be on the big game against the Brazilians next weekend.
