The former Chelsea tactician has also been vocal about the lack of depth in the squad after missing out on three signings on the final day of the transfer window.
According to the Sun, the Bavarians are planning for the German’s exit and have identified Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso as his successor.
Alonso, who is a former Bayern player, has built up a reputation at Leverkusen over the last year and his side are currently top of the Bundesliga.
The Spanish tactician took over at Leverkusen when the club were in the relegation zone and managed to guide the team to a sixth-placed finish and the UEFA Europa League semi-finals.
Alonso was also linked with the Tottenham Hotspur job before Ange Postecoglou took over the role, while reports in Spain claim that he is also a potential successor for Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.
