Seacoast roundup: Burrus, Bronson, McMahon all score for STA in 13th win of season

DOVER – Kate Burrus, Caleigh Bronson and Maddie McMahon each had a goal as the St. Thomas Aquinas girls soccer team beat Fall Mountain, 3-1 on Wednesday in a Division III match.

The Saints are now 13-0-1 on the season.

Charlotte De Tolla, Elizabeth Flynn and Bronson each had an assist in the win, while goalie Genna Bolduc had six saves.

GIRLS SOCCER

FRYEBURG, Maine – After a scoreless first half, York’s Zoe Carroll hit a low drive from outside the 18 into the lower corner of the net to open the scoring for York (5-5-2) in this Class B South contest.

Senior Gabby Galbadis scored the second goal with 12 minutes left. York sophomore Tessa Spaulding and senior Emily Estes anchored a back line that didn’t allow a shot on net all night.

Portsmouth Christian Academy 3, OT

CONCORD – Tatiana Stockbower scored two goals and Tatum Smith had one for Portsmouth Christian Academy (10-3) in this Division IV match.

Smith had an assist, and goalie Ella Walsh had six saves.

STANDISH, Maine – Sophomore Maddy Poitras, assisted by Lilly Gennaro, scored for Marshwood (5-7) in this Class A South contest.

Marshwood sophomore goalie Riley Smith had 13 saves.

PITTSFIELD – Jadynn Rajda had two goals, and Olivia Blackadar, Amaya Beckles, Hannah Chesley, and Cora Davidson all had one for Newmarket in its Division IV win.

DOVER – Ike Kohl and TJ King both scored two goals, and Anthony Rogers, David Sauers, Bennett Money, and Erick Angwenyi all had one for PCA (6-6-1) in this Division IV win.

Somersworth goalie Nahum Yoder had 16 saves.

MILTON – Quinn Arico had six aces, four assists and four kills, Kailey Holt had nine aces and six assists, Lexi Jordan had six digs and Emma Eisner had five aces to lead PCA (9-4) to this Division III win.

Individual game scores were 25-7, 25-12, 25-19.

PORTSMOUTH – Anya Gronblom (three goals), James Archambault (two), Charles Timmons (two), Josh Gross (one), Lexi Lambert (one), Ellory Schlosser (one) and Jazzy Johnson-Timmons (one) all scored for Portsmouth, which improved to 4-0 on the season.. 

Defensively, Emme Foster, Margaux Freer, and Teak Getman shined for the Clippers. For Winnacunnet, Micah Roy scored three goals, Lilli Marchi scored two and Cami Marrow had one.
