Kaizer Chiefs have been dealt a huge blow in their preparation for their clash against Cape Town Spurs, with the team set to be without one of its key players.

Having been dealt the blow of being without their supporters for the match owing to ill-discipline from a faction of the club’s fans, Amakhosi would have loved to have a full-strength team to face the Urban Warriors, who managed an impressive 2-1 win over Orlando Pirates last week.
However, interim coach Cavin Johnson and his technical team will be without midfield linchpin Sibongiseni Mthethwa who is serving a suspension due to the number of yellow cards collected.
Mthethwa, since making his switch from Stellenbosch, has proven to be a vital cog in Chiefs’ midfield this season and has featured in four matches prior to his one-match suspension.

The midfielder’s absence will be felt although Chiefs, with their reinvigorated squad fresh from a 10-day rest will have sufficient cover in ‘Ox’s’ absence.
Chiefs will be hoping to get back to winning ways, albeit without their fans behind their backs ahead of the upcoming Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates this weekend.
