SANDPOINT — The Sandpoint Soccer Association () is pleased to announce some exciting organizational developments and upcoming events.
Logo and website refresh
SSA has freshened and modernized its brand with a new logo and a more useful website. These changes will better unite the three branches of SSA under one banner — Strikers, Rec League, and Kickstart. View the new website and logo at www.sandpointsoccer.com.
New spring break camp
New this year, SSA is offering a Kicking into Spring Break Camp set to be held April 1-4 at the indoor arena located at the Bonner County Fairgrounds. Players can get a jump on the season without worrying about the weather. Registration is open and spots are limited. Director of Soccer Operations, Brad Williams, will direct the camp with help from current North Idaho College players. The cost is $90. For more information or to register, visit the SSA website.
Upcoming fundraiser
SSA is teaming up with Sweet Lou’s in Ponderay for a takeover fundraiser Tuesday, March 19, from 5 to 9 p.m. Strikers athletes and coaches will be present to serve you your meal. A portion of the proceeds will go to the SSA.
Spring soccer
Registration is open for spring Rec League and Kickstart. Designed for players between the ages of four and 18, Rec League’s season runs from April 15 through May 25. The Kickstart program last four weeks and is for players between the ages of two and four and their caregivers. The start date will be announced shortly. Strikers tryouts
SSA’s competitive club, Strikers, will host tryouts in May. Boys and girls ages seven through 18 are eligible to try out. The exact date will be announced shortly.
Summer soccer camps
SSA will again hold camps in June and July at Farmin Field. The June Camp will be held from June 17-20 and is open to Strikers players ages seven and up and Rec League players age four and up. Registration for June Camp will open soon. The SSA will release more details about the July Camp via its website.
New office location
SSA has moved its headquarters to the Old Powerhouse building in Sandpoint. The new address is 120 East Lake Street, Suite 213. The smaller footprint will allow SSA to funnel more money directly to soccer programs for the community.
