Senegal have claimed the championship in the 2024 Beach Soccer AFCON held in Egypt, following a 6-1 victory over Mauritania.
Despite Mauritania’s efforts, they were outmatched by Senegal, who added another achievement to their cabinet, securing their fifth consecutive AFCON championship.
This victory secures Senegal ticket to the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
Morocco edged out hosts Egypt in the third-place decider with a 4-3 win. Egypt’s goalkeeper, Mohamed Ahmed, was awarded the Best Goalkeeper award for his impressive performances throughout the tournament.
