Bafana Bafana take on Uganda in their penultimate 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Friday afternoon.

This afternoon’s clash initially had great importance for both Uganda and Bafana, who sit first and second respectively in Group K.
However, Congo’s defat to South Sudan on Thursday ensure qualification for Hugo Broos’ charges and the Cranes.
The two nations will now be fighting out for top spot in the group in their remaining two games.
Broos’ side dropped points in their last AFCON qualifier after drawing 1-1 with Congo, just days before beating the same opposition at Nelson Mandela Stadium.
The two sides could not be separated in their first meeting earlier in the qualifiers, with Bafana throwing a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 against the Cranes.
Meanwhile, Bafana’s last visit to Uganda ended in a 1-0 defeat back in a World Cup qualifier in 2024.
