SuperSport United have officially announced the signing of Serbian striker Samir Nurkovic.
Nurkovic, 32, has been without a club since parting ways with TS Galaxy this season. The burly forward was previously linked with a move to Gavin Hunt’s side, although the two parties could not agree terms at the time.
However, SuperSport’s recent striker crisis has seen the club expedite the process to get the former Kaizer Chiefs man on board on a one-year contract.

The 32-year-old will make his debut in the January transfer window, as the club waits for his work permit.
”Samir is a proven number nine target man with a good track record and who will fit in well with our style of play, which looks to get crosses in from wide areas and to capitalize on set pieces,“ SuperSport United CEO Stanley Matthews said on the club’s new acquisition.
Nurkovic was previously on the books of Amakhosi, and Royal AM, and he currently has a case with FIFA against the latter club.
