After taking a week off, Botola Pro Inwi action returns this coming weekend. This past weekend, no matches in Morocco’s first division took place in order to accommodate the nation’s clubs playing in both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup.
This brief hiatus, however, did not stop teams from preparing for their next league encounters, as many sides played friendly matches to maintain their sharpness. One of those sides was Jeunesse Sportive de Soualem.
JS Soualem took on MAS Fes, and in attendance for the match was Mokwena. Wydad Athletic Club are their next opponents in the league, and it seems as though the South African tactician wanted to analyse their performances to better prepare for the match.
Soualem’s head coach, Redouane El Haimeur, has now lauded the 39-year-old for raising the standards of tacticians within the Moroccan top flight, claiming that most of the time, teams play with a lot of randomness.
“Mokwena is a professional coach, and his presence to watch the match from the stands is not strange, as many international coaches follow this approach to gain a more comprehensive view of the two teams’ performance and analyse the fine details,” the 51-year-old said about the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns boss, as per El Botola.

He added: “There are teams that play randomly, and this randomness may sometimes succeed in scoring goals because opponents cannot predict their playing style.”
