Former Al Ahly star Hesham Hanafy has addressed the reports linking Pitso Mosimane with a return to the Egyptian giants.
Current head coach Marcel Koller has been criticised in recent weeks for some of the team’s performances both in the Premier League and CAF Champions League.

There have been calls for Koller to be removed as head coach before the weekend’s clash against Mamelodi Sundowns in the first-leg of their semi-final.
Meanwhile, there were reports on the continent earlier this week about Mosimane being on the shortlist of coaches to replace Koller.
However, Hanafy has come out to deny those claims about the South African tactician.
“Talk about Mosimane’s return to coach Al Ahly is just chatter circulating within the club,” Hanafy said on Stadium Al-Mahwar, as per Ysscores.
Koller and Al Ahly have already arrived in South Africa for Saturday’s clash against Sundowns, but he has raised eyebrows by leaving out veteran full-back Ali Maaloul.
“There are questions regarding the exclusion of Maaloul from Al Ahly’s trip to face Sundowns,” Hanafy added.
