Apollo Tyres recently hosted a “Soccer School” in Hungary through a partnership with Manchester United. The event welcomed children of Apollo Tyres employees to a session near the company’s Gyöngyöshalász plant. The Apollo Tyres Soccer School offered a rare opportunity to train with elite coaching staff from one of the world’s top football clubs.
Apollo Tyres Soccer School Training Day With Manchester United Coaches
A total of 33 children took part in the exclusive two-hour training session at Dr. Fejes András Sport Center in Gyöngyös. Organizers divided the participants into two age groups, allowing Manchester United’s official coaching staff to deliver high-level instruction. Multiple pitch surfaces at the facility gave the children a chance to practice in diverse, game-like scenarios.
After the training session, Manchester United legend Denis Irwin joined the group for lunch. He participated in a Q&A, took photos, and signed autographs for the children and their families. Each participant also received an official Manchester United kit to commemorate the Apollo Tyres Soccer School.
Youth Development Through Football
This marks the eleventh Soccer School hosted by Apollo in partnership with Manchester United. Since launching in 1999, the Manchester United Soccer Schools program has engaged over 500,000 children across 90 countries.

Apollo Tyres became Manchester United’s official Global Tyre Partner in 2018. The partnership expanded in 2020 to include the premium Vredestein brand, now displayed on pitch-side advertising boards during Manchester United home matches.
