Soccer Saturday’s Bianca Westwood has revealed how she deals with critics – and it’s simply by not giving a f***.
The Sky Sports presenter shared a couple of DMs on Instagram – the first message praised her work on Soccer Saturday. However, the second message, sent from the same person two years later, criticised Westwood, claiming she was “past it”.
Westwood shared the messages with the caption: “Wow, I’ve really gone downhill in the last two years.” She then doubled down on the retort, sharing a longer message about how she deals with haters on the internet.

She said: “I often get asked about this & it’s not gender specific but 99% of my trolls (as infrequent as they are these days) are men.
“For those who message me to ask for advice in dealing with this issue, I wish I could give them the gift of indifference…because I promise you I do not give one single f**k about what anyone online says about me. They honestly matter less to me every single day.”
Westwood then went on to offer advice to young journalists on how to deal with criticism, and she urged them to “rely on the opinions of people who matter”.

She added: “It’s all about reframing it. Mantra “IDGAF about your opinion of me internet stranger”. Repeat until believed & in the meantime block & move on.”
Westwood is a regular on TV screens across the nation every weekend – where she pops up as a reporter on Soccer Saturday.
