Kaizer Chiefs: Three managers with the pedigree to replace Arthur Zwane

Pitso Mosimane
The Long Game
The great man’s record speaks for itself. Quite what his next move will be is a mystery, maybe even to him, but would it be a massive surprise if we one day saw him at the helm of Kaizer Chiefs? He did represent Pirates as a player in 1989, but fans will probably forgive him. Don’t hold your breath for now though, as Pitso seems hell-bent on enjoying more success in Saudi Arabia.

Gavin Hunt
The Wild Card
Yes, the SuperSport boss is happy and excelling in his current role. Yes, he’s also coached Chiefs before and achieved mixed results in that stint. However, if the Glamour Bots came calling again, would he be able to refuse? Hunt knows the club, and he also knows South African football inside out. It’s a serious long shot, but you can never say never in football.
Rhulani Mokwena
Pipe dream
This isn’t ever going to happen, but it’s fun to envisage the Sundowns tactical mastermind at Chiefs. Just imagine how much that would annoy the Sundowns fanbase and how it would shake things up in South African football? Chiefs would have to throw a lot of money at him though. Like, a LOT of money.
