Antoine Griezmann shockingly chooses American Football over soccer
November 18, 2023

Antoine Griezmann has declared his love for American Football and subsequently switched to the sport, “ditching” soccer in the process.

The news comes after Friday’s announcement that he will present a weekly program for Spanish speakers covering the popular USA sport, which will be titled “NFL’s Grizi Huddle” and it can be seen on YouTube.

The program will analyze weekly plays across the sport, with the French soccer player highlighting the best moments of the game and interviewing NFL’s stars too. He will also provide predictions for future rounds of the NFL.

Griezmann is a long time fan of the game and has previously appeared on coverages of the sport within Spain, where he plays his trade and has covered matches in the early hours of the mornings.

“I’m a big fan of the NFL,” said Griezmann in an announcement. “So being able to partner with this league in a new program for other Spanish-speaking American football fans is a dream come true.

“We’re going to put on a show that both new and existing fans will be proud of, so be sure to tune in on YouTube for my take on all the action.”

NFL pleased with their big catch

One of the main objectives of the modern NFL is to grow their game into the untapped European market, which adores similar games such as Rugby League and Rugby Union.

The NFL has hosted matches in Germany and the UK and now has one of soccer’s biggest names, especially one of European soccer’s biggest names, promoting their sport for them.

“We are thrilled to partner with Antoine for the ‘NFL’s Grizi Huddle’ program,” Marissa Solis, senior vice president of brand and consumer marketing said. “Working with such a well-known star as Antoine, a true fan of our sport, helps us connect with our fans on a new level.

“An important priority for Mundo NFL is to create content that is both exciting and relevant to our fans.”
