Big-money offer could roll in for Pirates star
January 3, 2023

Olisa Ndah was ruled out of Pirates’ clash against Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday due to an injury, which comes at a time when rumours have continued to circulate about his future at the club.

Italian Serie A side Sassuolo are reportedly especially interested in the talented 24-year-old, although Ndah’s agent Mike Makaab has seemingly distanced the defender from talk that he will be leaving the Soweto giants during the current PSL transfer window.

“You are misinformed, he is injured,” Makaab wrote on his official Twitter account when one social media user implied that Ndah was leaving Pirates.

Meanwhile, Phakaaathi reports that Sassuolo could make a particularly enticing offer for Ndah that would be difficult to turn down.

“It is really a good offer and the club is willing to let him go, but obviously they won’t just let him go without having plans for a replacement,” the Phakaaathi source commented. “The club was struggling center-backs for a long time and after finding Ndah things became better.

“There is also Tapelo Xoki and Nkosinathi Sibisi, but what happens when something goes wrong with one of them? So, those are some of the things that the club is looking for. There needs to be a proper replacement, and it is going to be tough to find someone like him (Ndah).”
