Orlando Pirates winger Monnapule Saleng is tipped for a big role to play as the team will be campaigning in the next round of the CAF Champions League after the FIFA international break.
In some of the recent matches, Saleng has been a notable absentee from the line-ups, with questions being raised from some sections of supporters about his whereabouts.

Having last featured against Magesi FC as Pirates were knocked out of the Carling Knockout last month, Saleng missed consecutive matches in the league at home to SuperSport United and AmaZulu FC, as well as the away trip to TS Galaxy.
The 26-year-old did make a return when he came on as a substitute in the last 15 minutes against Richards Bay FC in the most recent match, and indications are that there are plans for him to feature, more like earlier in the season, where he was influential in helping the team to win the MTN8.

The good thing for the Buccaneers is that the Bloemhof-born player’s absence opened the door for the young Mohau Nkota to shine as he has been playing and has been impressive with his performances.
“That’s the good thing about having a big squad and options for all the positions. The coach can rotate the squad the way it suits the team. He (Saleng) is back and will be important in the Champions League,” said the source.
