Sundowns improved in the second half with a few introductions, including the return of defender Keanu Cupido.
“We trying to manage game-by-game, we know that in this championship if you don’t play on the top, you can have better flavour,” Cardoso told SuperSport after the game.
“So, it’s important that we put our best every time and manage the players that can and give everything and believing in everybody. I’m happy today to see Keanu entering the match because he came from injury so he deserves also this moment. But in general, now let’s speak about the next one.”
The Betway Premiership leaders will now turn their attention to Sunday’s clash against second-place Orlando Pirates.
“Yeah, another big one lets now focus on arriving on the moment of the game in the best condition possible.
“Because it’s a re-energising moment despite lots of our players going for the national team, so expectation mostly will be that they come back without any problems. As you said, a lot to go but now let’s rest and see how we go in the next game/
