Kaizer Chiefs assistant coach Cedric Kaze is reportedly drawing interest from clubs in Tanzania due to his notable contributions to Amakhosi’s resurgence this season.
Kaze, who joined the Soweto giants in October as part of Nasreddine Nabi’s technical team, has played a crucial role in the team’s improvements, both tactically and as a translator for the Tunisian head coach.

Under the guidance of Nabi, Kaze, and the rest of the coaching staff, Chiefs have advanced to the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals, keeping their hopes alive for their first major trophy in nearly a decade.
Despite a recent setback in the league – a 4-1 loss to SuperSport United – the team has shown overall progress, reflecting the influence of the coaching team.
Sources indicate that Kaze’s impressive coaching credentials have not gone unnoticed, particularly in Tanzania, where he previously worked alongside Nabi at Young Africans. Several top Tanzanian Premier League clubs are reportedly monitoring the Burundian tactician with a potential move in mind.
However, Chiefs fans can remain at ease for now, as Kaze is said to be committed to the club’s ongoing project and determined to finish the season at Naturena.
“Cedric Kaze is seen as a head coach by most clubs, and I can tell you that there is interest in him elsewhere. Some of the big clubs in Tanzania are monitoring him. This is someone who is keen on being a head coach again and it won’t be a surprise to see him making the step up again at some point in his career. But for now, he is fully focused at Chiefs, and he is committed to serving the club, and he is likely to finish the season with the team,” said the source.

Kaze’s past success in Tanzania, which includes winning the Mapinduzi Cup and leading Yanga to an unbeaten 17-match run in 2020, only adds to his growing reputation.
While interest in Kaze continues to rise, it remains to be seen whether Chiefs will entertain any offers for the highly regarded coach.
