After Kaizer Chiefs suffered their ninth defeat of the season, Soccer Laduma projects where they could end up using their current statistics.
After missed chances against Cape Town City in a goalless draw, Chiefs could not return to winning ways after they humbled 2-0 by Richards Bay on Sunday.
What was startling in the game was that the Glamour Boys had 21 shots at goal but could not find the back of the net with the five shots that were on target.

Nasreddine Nabi’s charges currently lie eighth in the standings, four and five points ahead of ninth and eighth placed Chippa United and Golden Arrows, who both have two and three games in hand respectively.
That means The Glamour Boys would be out of the top eight, if Chippa and Arrows win their games in hand.
The Soweto giants only have eight games to play until their season is over.
As things stand, Chiefs have been collecting on average 1,3 points per game, which means if that current rate continues, Amakhosi would end up with approximately 39 to 40 points.

Should that be the case, Nabi would have improved the team by three to four points from last season, the worst Amakhosi campaign in the PSL era, after they finished a lowly tenth, with 36 points.
39 to 40 points projection could see Chiefs scrambling to make the top eight.
Last season, a top eight spot was occupied by Polokwane City with 38 points.
If other teams rise their level slightly, The Glamour Boys could be in danger of missing out on the top eight again.
In the 2022/23 campaign, three teams, from sixth to eighth finished equal on 40 points, with Moroka Swallows getting the eighth spot with an inferior goal difference.
At the end of the 2021/22 term, SuperSport United occupied eighth spot with 40 points.
