Chiefs are still smarting after a narrow 2-1 defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns in the Betway Premiership, which ended their two-game winning streak.
Amakhosi got an early lead but two quick goals from Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Iqraam Rayners just before the break handed Sundowns victory.
Gallants, on the other hand, had a bad start to their league season after three successive defeats to Chiefs, Golden Arrows and The Brazilians.
However, Siwelele Sa Marumo finally got off the mark with a narrow 1-0 win over AmaZulu thanks to an early goal by Daniel Msendami.
When the sides met in the opening game of the season, the Glamour Boys came from behind to win 2-1 courtesy of goals by Mduduzi Shabalala and Mfundo Vilakazi, after Sekela Sithole gave Gallants an early lead.
The Cufa Cup friendly replaces Macufe Cup, as Chiefs clashed with Bloemfontein Celtic over the years.
