In their pursuit of Chippa United and Nigeria goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali’s signature, Kaizer Chiefs are believed to be prepared to sacrifice one of their players.
As reported by the Siya crew, Chiefs are understood to have reignited their interest Nwabali as part of their plans to strengthen the defence in Nasreddine Nabi’s squad.

Amakhosi are the only team without a clean sheet in the Betway Premiership this season, with the team having conceded 13 goals – the League’s highest so far in the 2024/25 campaign.
In planning to sign Nwabali, the Soweto giants are believed to be willing to get into a swap deal with their goalkeeper Fiacre Ntwari.
Ntwari, who started the season as Chiefs’ number one under Nabi, has appeared to have lost his place in the starting line-up after missing the team’s last four matches.

Despite the Rwanda national team number one being on a four-year contract with Amakhosi, indications are that Chiefs could be willing to sacrifice him for Nwabali.
“Don’t rule out the possibility of a swap deal for Chiefs and Chippa for Ntwari and Nwabali. That’s what is being bandied about as Chiefs look to strengthen their goalkeeping department. The two clubs are expected to discuss a potential deal in January,” said the source.
Soccer Laduma contacted Chiefs for comment but the club had not responded by the time this report was published.
