A former Kaizer Chiefs defender has spoken about how Given Msimango has reminded the nation that he remains a key member of the squad at Naturena.
Msimango has become a bit part player at Naturena after the club acquired the services of Rushwin Dortley and Inacio Miguel, spending most of his time on the bench or in the stands.

A recent injury to Dortley has given the former TS Galaxy captain the chance to step in and prove his worth and he is certainly making the most of it. He’s featured in the victories over Magesi FC and Stellenebosch FC and will be hoping he has done enough to be considered more often by the technical team going forward.
Ex-Chiefs midfielder Mokete Tsotetsi believes Msimango still has a lot to offer Chiefs and should be considered more often by the technical team.
“The coaches have obviously been trying to find a consistent combination and maybe that’s why he has not played much. But for him to still be at Chiefs means that he is still an important player at Chiefs and to the coach,” Tsotetsi said to the Siya crew.
“He is getting game time now and the opportunity has presented itself. Dortley has been out, so he has the opportunity and he has been doing well. That has been my wish, to see him playing because I believe that he can give a lot to the team. I think even the coach can see (the value) that the player has. It will be easier for the coach to build a team next season because he has seen the players he knows will carry the team. I think Msimango is still an important player for the team and he still has a lot to give. I believe he is a player who understands the culture of Chiefs.”
