Nine-year-old Gomolemo Mavimbela died in a horrific accident on Tuesday, 29 October.
FAMILIES of the accident victims want the soccer star Shaune Mogaila (29) not to be treated with kids’ gloves.
They fear his case might disappear or gets a lighter sentence because he has money.
A Sekhukhune soccer player was involved in an accident in which two people sustained serious injuries and a nine-year-old schoolgirl died on Tuesday, 29 October.
Mogaila is still to appear in court.
“We saw bottles of booze and drug in the car, it shows this person was drunk and was falling asleep. We want this to be a lesson to other elites that they cannot get way with crime just because they have money,” said uncle Sifiso Sikhosana.
The families from Leboeng Section in Thembisa are still struggling to come to terms with what happened.
They say the cam video which has been circulating on the media has traumatised them even more.
“That was the horrific thing to watch and the way my niece died, will live with us forever. With such evidence against him, it will be unfair on us for him to get away with crime.”

The mother of Gomolemo is still in hospital.
Sifiso said he received a call on Tuesday morning from the father of his niece, around 8am that they were involved in accident in Phomolong near Thembisa.
“When we got there, we saw the alcohol inside the car and some drugs. We are not okay. This was a nine-year-old with great future ahead of her and we welcome any kind of support,” he said.
Meanwhile the aunt of the 13-year-old boy, said they are asking for prayers.
“My nephew is still unconscious, and we hope for the better. As for the person who did this, we appeal for the justice to prevail. The victims never asked for this,” she said.
