Four days, 12 unforgettable, one-goal championship games in Section III soccer, field hockey

Syracuse, N.Y. — The 2023 Section III playoffs have ended with an unforgettable run of championship games over the past four days.

Of the 16 boys soccer, girls soccer and field hockey title games since Friday, 12 came down to a single goal, and four of those needed extra minutes to decide a sectional champion. There were also six upsets.
