Ghana 1-0 Mali
Ghana moved closer to securing their spot at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating Mali 1-0 on Monday night.
The Black Stars were held to a 1-1 draw by Chad in their last clash while Mali thrashed Comoros 3-0.
However, the Ghanaians would walk away with the spoils in Accra thanks to Alexander Djiku’s goal in the 49th minute.
The win sees Ghana sit top of I with 16 points, while Mali find themselves in fourth position with 12 points.
Uganda 2-0 Somalia
Uganda remain in contention for a World Cup qualifying spot after defeating Somalia on Monday evening.
Allan Okello opened the scoring for the Cranes with his third goal in the qualifiers after converting a penalty.
Jude Ssemugabi doubled the lead five minutes before the halftime with his first goal in the qualifiers.
Mozambique 2-0 Botswana
Mozambique got back to winning ways in Group G after defeating Botswana 2-0 on Monday evening.
The home side opened the scoring on six minutes through Witi, although they had to wait until the 71st minute to claim a second goal via the boot of Faisal Bangal.
The win sees Mozambique remain in third spot, four points adrift of leaders Algeria.
Guinea 0-0 Algeria
Algeria saw their lead at the top reduced after a goalless draw against Guinea on Monday evening.
The Algerians remain top of Group G but are now only five points above both Uganda and Mozambiquee.
Zambia 0-2 Morocco
Morocco, who already qualified for the World Cup, secured a 2-0 win over Zambia on Monday afternoon.
Goals from Youssef En-Nesyri and Hamza Igamane guided the Atlas Lions to victory in Ndola.
The Moroccans are the only nation who have won all of their qualifying matches so far.
