WICHITA FALLS – Maci Hanson scored two goals and assisted on another as Wylie beat Burkburnett 6-0 at the United Invitational tournament Friday.
Brylee Ross, Allie Allen, Kaylee Richardson and Myka Meltz each had goals for the Lady Bulldogs (3-3-2), while Kamryn Newman and Taylar Riley had two assists each. Maly Wallem and Chloe Williams also had assists.
Earlier in the day, Dallas Ursuline Academy beat Wylie 7-1 to snap the Lady Bulldogs’ three-game win streak.
Wallem had Wylie’s lone goal off an assist from Sarah Williams. Avery Anders made 19 saves for the Lady Bulldogs.
Wylie plays Wichita Falls Rider at noon Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Lady Coogs edge Bridgeport
At Fort Worth, Lune Finch scored the game’s lone goal as Cooper nipped Bridgeport 1-0 to finish the Castleberry tournament with a 2-1 record.
Ennis dealt the Lady Cougars a 2-0 loss earlier in the day. Cooper came up empty, despite putting 12 shots on goal and getting six saves from Lexi McWhorter.
Ennis advanced in the tournament with 23 points in the pool with Cooper, while the Lady Coogs had 18 points and didn’t advance.
Cooper, which beat Fort Worth Dunbar 13-0 on Thursday, plays Wichita Falls High on Tuesday in Wichita Falls.

Cooper silences Alvarado
At Alvarado, Cooper scored three first-half goals, and goalie Jorge Monroy made it standup in a 3-0 victory over Alvarado at the Kurt McGrath Memorial Tournament at Charles Head Stadium.
Junior Perez scored the only goal the Cougars would need 8:55 into the game. Christian Hernandez had the assist.
Jefferson Caceres added a penalty kick with 22:18 left in the opening half, and Guillermo Garcia added another goal before the break.
The Coogs, who beat Life School Oak Cliff 4-2 in the tournament opener Thursday, plays Fort Worth YMLA at 9 a.m. Saturday.
