“I get choked up thinking back to all the kids, all the parents to let me, my family, coach Bach and everyone into their lives,” Sammon said. “Hopefully we’re a little part positive of their lives because I know the impact it left on me, my three daughters, Chris, and all her kids also is immeasurable and I can’t thank the parents, can’t thank the kids enough for everything they’ve done for us.”
Malone was at Massena for a Northern Athletic Conference battle atop the Central Division.
– In the rain, Whitney St. Hilaire lobs a shot on net that takes a high, wet bounce. Michaela Sunderland grabs the save.
– Megan Firnstein for a shot on goal. It misses just wide.
– Molly LaVack tries to bang home the loose ball. It’s snagged by Malone keeper Kylie Barkman.
– Firnstein and LaVack get a 2-on-none. Barkman comes up big on the save.
– On the direct, Malone’s Hillary Baker bends a shot from 25 yards out that skips on the wet turf and into the net. Brooke LaPointe also scored for Malone. Sydney Rochefort scored for Massena.
