(WWNY) – It was a tense game for Immaculate Heart and Carthage in girls’ soccer Thursday night.

IHC coach Kurt Robbins was in search of his 500th win coaching both boys’ and girls’ soccer as the Lady Cavaliers met Carthage.

– First half: IHC takes the lead when Abigail Bombard dents the back of the net. It’s 1-0 IHC.

– Carthage ties it up a bit later when Kaydence Eldridge lifts one out of the goalie’s reach, knotting the game at 1.

– Bombard answers with her second goal of the night to put IHC back on top 2-1.

IHC and Carthage end in a 2-all double overtime tie.

It was another girls’ Frontier League soccer contest in Copenhagen as the Lady Golden Knights hosted Sackets Harbor.

– It’s scoreless in the first half when Samantha Stokely puts the loose ball in the back of the net — it’s 1-0 Copenhagen.

– Then it’s Halle Miller going far corner for the tally. It’s 2-0 Copenhagen.

Stokely adds another goal as Copenhagen shut out Sackets Harbor 3-0.

Colton-Pierrepont hosted St. Lawrence Central in girls’ Northern Athletic Conference soccer.

– The Colts attack: Teagan Planty gets a header on net. Kalissa Young snags the ball.

– In the 13th minute, Hailey Delaney crosses from the corner. Planty redirects the ball into the mesh. It’s 1-0 Colts.

– Another Colts opportunity from the left wing bangs off the post.

– In the second half, Anna Hoose’s shot is headed inside the right post, but Young makes another sparkling save.

– Morgan Cole gets behind the defense, takes her shot, but Young comes up big again.

– The Larries try to tie late on a direct kick. Courtney Moreau goes over the wall and just over the crossbar.

The Colts hang on to shade St. Lawrence Central 1-0.

The Copenhagen Golden Knights faced Beaver River in boys’ Frontier League soccer.

– First half: the Golden Knights get on the board when Caden Miller splits the pipes. It’s 1-0 Copenhagen.

– Then it’s Landon Sullivan with one of his three goals on the day: 2-0 Copenhagen.

– Sullivan finds the mark again.

Copenhagen shut out Beaver River 5-0.

Indian River traveled to Canton for NAC volleyball.

The Warriors defeated Canton 3 sets to none: 25-15, 25-13, and 25-13.

Indian River was led by Ryleigh Fleming with seven aces, 10 digs, one assist, and 17 service points..

For Canton, Emma Logan produced three digs, one kill and 5 points.
