Italian soccer giants Juventus have become the first professional team to partner with a Kings League outfit.
Confirmed:
- Serie A side to collaborate with Zebras FC
- Zebras FC players and team creators will gain access to Juventus Creator Lab facility to create exclusive content and interact with fans
- Partnership to include exclusive experiences for Zebras FC members, including tickets to Juventus home games and training access at the Italian club’s facilities
- Juventus’ mascot to be present at Kings League games
Context:
Juventus already has existing ties to the Kings League, as their Allianz Stadium hosted the final of the Kings League World Cup earlier this month. Zebras FC co-chair and Italian YouTuber Luca Campolunghi is a die-hard Juventus fan, and worked with Italian creative media firm Stardust to ensure Zebras FC’s logo and colours were similar to his favourite team.
Kings League Italy marks the latest competition to be launched by the eponymous Spanish-based seven-a-side soccer league, which is backed by Gerard Piqué’s Kosmos Group investment vehicle. The Italian competition counts Swedish soccer icon Zlatan Ibrahimović as its president, with former Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio also on board as its head of competition.
Coming next:
A start date has yet to be announced for the 12-team Kings League Italy competition, with its tryouts and draft having already been held.
