Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has given his verdict on Kamohelo Mahlatsi who recently made his return to the team’s starting line-up following a long injury lay-off.

Mahlatsi has seemingly taken over from Kgaogelo Sekgota on the left-hand side of the Chiefs midfield despite previously shining as a right-winger.
Now, according to Zwane, the reason Mahlatsi has been playing is that the technical team wants to give every single player a chance at Chiefs.

And it is through that approach that the technical team would know if they have enough depth, but he has been impressed by Mahlatsi so far.
Furthermore, Zwane isn’t surprised that Mahlatsi hasn’t been able to finish any of the two games he started as he was out injured for too long.

However, he believes the dreadlocked winger will be back to his full fitness and start scoring goals after being presented with an opportunity to do score in the Sekhukhune United game.
ARTHUR ZWANE’S VERDICT ON KAIZER CHIEFS RETURNEE KAMOHELO MAHLATSI
“When it comes to Mahlatsi, we want to give all the players an opportunity because this is a massive team. We want to see which players can deal with the pressure and which ones can’t so that we can know where we are going. And so far, so good. I think he did well last week, and he hasn’t been playing regularly for some time,” Zwane told the media.
“He was bound to get tired quickly. In the second half against Sekhukhune, he got tired. He had a chance to score and found himself in a good position, but it wasn’t to be. But the fact that he was there in the right position to score is positive. I believe next time he will bury it.
“We will work on encouraging the players until they get it right. I’m happy with him, and I was a player myself, and a player doesn’t only need one chance to prove himself,” added Zwane.
“But unfortunately, at some point, the competition is stiff, and if our players are available, this is a game of opportunities; if you are given an opportunity, you need to grab it with both hands,” he concluded.
