The Citizens are eager to reignite their 2024/25 season after a disastrous start to the campaign by their lofty standards. They plan to achieve this by reinforcing their squad, and one of the players believed to be high on their priority list of signings is Egypt’s Omar Marmoush.

Since making the move to the Bundesliga, the Cairo native’s best goal tally in German top-flight football prior to the 2023/24 season was five goals with Wolfsburg. At the start of last season, he moved to Eintracht Frankfurt from the Wolves on a free transfer, and he hasn’t looked back since.

In his first campaign at Deutsche Bank Park, Marmoush scored 17 goals and provided six assists in all competitions. This season, the Pharaohs star has already bettered that tally, having found the back of the net 18 times and provided 12 assists.

According to The Telegraph, Pep Guardiola is a massive admirer of the versatile attacker, as the club feel he can hit the ground running in the Premier League due to his ability to play multiple positions in the frontline as well as his pace.
