Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has reflected on his side reaching the Nedbank Cup semi-finals on Saturday.

The Soweto giants recorded a 3-1 win over Stellenbosch FC at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

The Tunisian coach called for caution despite closing on a potential trophy this season.

“It’s true that everyone is very happy, all the supporters across South Africa,” Nabi told SuperSport after the game.

“But we need to think like a big club this was a step and we need to concentrate for the next games and to go all the way.”

The game nearly went to extra-time after Stellenbosch’s late equaliser, but Nabi insists they were prepare for an extra 30 minutes.

“It was disappointing but we knew that we were playing a very strong and tough team and we believed even after conceding the goal that we could come back and we were well prepared for extra-time.

“That’s why at the end we even brought in Shabalala, Vilakazi players like that because planning for extra-time, planning to give us that extra strike,” Nabi said.
