Sekhukhune United players are expected to meet their new coach today, following the exit of Lehlohonolo Seema towards the end of last week.
Seema’s exit was confirmed by Babina Noko after a Nedbank Cup press conference last Thursday, despite a good season with the club, and the Siya has been informed that the team has quickly moved on.

It’s understood Eric Tinkler is flying in from Cape Town to start his new role as head coach of the club on Monday, with an announcement imminent.
Tinkler was let go by Cape Town City in December after an inconsistent start to the campaign and it’s not likely to get any easier as he takes up the hot seat at Sekhukhune. Seema was doing well with the club, consistently keeping them in the top five. And after they finished fourth in the Premiership last season, expectations will be high to ensure they do not go below that.
The club is also still in the Nedbank Cup and the big challenge for the coach will be getting past Mamelodi Sundowns in a quarter-final clash that was meant to be played over the past weekend, before it was postponed due to the double booking of Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Sekhukhune are due to play Marumo Gallants in Bloemfontein on Wednesday evening and the Siya crew understands that Tinkler will be on the bench for the clash, with Kaitano Tembo and Paulus Masehe expected to be his assistant coaches.
