A couple of Downriver and Dearborn area girls’ soccer teams shared the pitch for a non-conference matchup on Friday as Lincoln Park welcomed in Dearborn Heights Crestwood.
Both teams came into the bout looking to gain some sort of momentum as we venture into May. Lincoln Park was eyeing consecutive victories for the first time since starting the season 3-0 after they defeated Taylor High 4-1 their last time out on Wednesday. Crestwood meanwhile was looking to make it three straight wins and four in their last five contests overall.
A low-scoring affair eventually amounted to a 1-1 draw between the visiting Chargers and host Railsplitters.
