Pirates’ European Pre-Season Tour Destination Revealed

While Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the Netherlands as their pre-season destination, Soweto rivals Orlando Pirates will be returning to Spain to gear up for the 2025/26 campaign.

The Buccaneers officially announced their plans via social media, confirming that Spain will again host their pre-season camp.

Pirates’ pre-season tours to Spain have become a familiar tradition under the tenure of former head coach Jose Riveiro.

Last year, the Sea Robbers faced top-tier competition including Sevilla, Al Sadd SC, and English Championship side Plymouth Argyle.

Despite Riveiro’s recent move to Al Ahly, Pirates are maintaining the European pre-season formula introduced under him.

The club’s commitment to a high-intensity, international pre-season schedule signals their ambition ahead of the new campaign, with hopes of building on their strong finish to the 2024/25 season.
