News reaching the Siya crew is that Orlando Pirates are in the market for another striker to bolster the club’s attacking options. 

The Bucs currently have four registered strikers for this season, in Evidence Makgopa, Tshegofatso Mabasa, Boitumelo Radiopane, and Zakhele Lepasa.

Sources close to the club have informed Soccer Laduma that club is understood to be monitoring Richards Bay United’s Yanela Mbuthuma.

According to an insider, the club is believed to be seeking a striker who can provide additional goalscoring options. 

“Yes, they have been looking for a striker for some time now and though the only one they have really identified is Yanela Mbuthuma from Richards Bay United,” a source revealed to the Siya crew.

“Pirates would want to find a striker who will fit in the team’s playing system. The scouts and the technical team are monitoring strikers both locally and in other leagues in Africa,” the source added.

The Siya crew reached out to Pirates for comment, with no response received at the time of publishing.
