Cape Town Spurs 1-2 Black Leopards

Black Leopards climbed up to second in the standings after beating Cape Town Spurs 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Athlone Stadium.

Bethuel Muzeu broke the deadlock for Leopards just before the break and the visitors were 2-0 up early in the second stanza.

Lidoda Duvha were reduced to ten men just after the hour-mark after Thendo Mukumela was red-carded.

Spurs pulled a goal back with 17 minutes to go but they could not avoid their third defeat in their last five matches.

Leopards are two points off top spot occupied by Milford and Ernst Middendorp’s charges dropped down to 12th.

Leruma United 1-4 Kruger United

Leruma United dropped back to the relegation zone after they were hammered 4-1 by Kruger United on Sunday afternoon at Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Kruger climbed up to ninth on the table, although they are just two points above the relegation and Leruma, who slipped down to 1th.

Saturday, 02 November

Baroka 2-3 Milford

Milford maintained their top spot after edging Baroka in a five-goal thriller on Saturday afternoon at Global Stadium.

Siyabonga Nzama gave Milford an early lead but Bakgaga also levelled matters.

Shane Saralina restored the lead for the visitors just before the interval and Bulelani Sigomoshe gave The Stallions a two-goal cushion with ten minutes to go.

Tshepo Mashiloane pulled a goal back for the Limpopo side in added time but it was too little too late.

The KwaZulu-Natal outfit extended their lead at the top of the log to two points while Bakgaga slipped down to 14th.

Upington City 2-2 Casric Stars

Upington City missed the chance to consolidate second spot after they let slip a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Casric Stars on Saturday afternoon at Mxolisi Dicky Jacobs Stadium.

Bokang Mokwena broke the deadlock for Upington midway into the first stanza and Willie Nel doubled their lead just before the interval.

Casric pulled a goal back midway through the second stanza and got the equaliser in the last minute, as the sides shared the spoils.

Bafana Ba Gucci dropped down to fifth on the table, just one point ahead of seventh-placed Casric.

JDR Stars 1-0 Pretoria Callies

JDR Stars moved up to third in the standings after a 1-0 win over Pretoria Callies in the Tshwane derby on Saturday afternoon at Giant Stadium.

Prince Nxumalo scored the only goal of the encounter early for JDR, as they moved up to within four points of leaders Milford in third spot on the table.

The Romans, on the other hand, moved back to 13th spot.

Venda Football Academy 0-2 Orbit College

Orbit College won their fourth game in a row after beating Venda Football Academy 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Thohoyandou Stadium.

The win took Orbit up to fourth on the log while Venda remained at the bottom of the table.

Friday, 01 November

Durban City 0-1 University of Pretoria

Durban City dropped out of the promotion places after a 1-0 defeat to University of Pretoria on Friday evening at Chatsworth Stadium.

After a goalless first stanza, Cape Town City loanee Luke Daniels snatched the winner for AmaTuks deep in added time.

The Team of Choice had to settle for sixth spot while a win took Tlisane Motaung’s charges up to eighth.

Highbury 1-0 Hungry Lions

Highbury won back-to-back games for the first time after edging Hungry Lions 1-0 on Friday evening at Nelson Mandela University Stadium.

The win took Highbury up to 11th on the log, equal on points with tenth-placed Lions.
