RS Berkane, on the other hand, had only suffered one defeat in the league all season and were looking to preserve their unbeaten run.

However, the contest failed  to provide any goals on the night while Berkane did have a penalty overturned by the Video Assistant Referee 10 minutes before the halftime break.

Lorch completed the full 90 minutes for Wydad on the night while Mailula was hauled off for Walid Nassi on 75 minutes.

Following the point on the road, Wydad remain in second spot on the league standings, 15 points behind Berkane.

Wydad also held Berkane scoreless for the first time in eight matches across all competitions, which dates back to January in the CAF Confederation Cup.
