Former Italy forward Mario Balotelli
said he was highly motivated after arriving on Monday to do a
medical for a move to Serie A strugglers Genoa, who have been
hit by an injury crisis in attack.
“I’m fired up and, to be honest, I don’t really want to talk. I
want to get started,” said the former Inter, Manchester City and
AC Milan striker, who is joining Genoa as a free agent.
“I’ll give everything I have”.
The 34-year-old played in Turkey for Adana Demirspor last
season.
When asked about whether the famously temperamental player will
get an Italy recall if he does well at Genoa, Azzurri coach
Luciano Spalletti told Dazn that “we don’t close the door to
anyone”.
Genoa are current third bottom and in the relegation zone with
six points from nine games.
