Mamelodi Sundowns and Magesi will be fighting for the honour of the Carling Knockout trophy when they clash in the final on Saturday evening at Toyota Free State Stadium.

Sundowns booked their spot in the final after beating Marumo Gallants 2-0 in the semi-finals, thanks to goals by Lucas Ribeiro Costa and Neo Maema.
The win over Gallants was The Brazilians’ last match before the FIFA break, as they won their fourth game in a row in tournaments, including a 4-0 thumping of Kaizer Chiefs in the semi-finals.
The Tshwane giants last won the trophy in it’s previous guise, in the 2019/20 season under the Telkom banner.
Magesi, on the other hand, went through to the final after a narrow 1-0 win over Richards Bay in the semi-finals, courtesy of a goal by Tshepo Mashigo.
Dikwena have had a fairytale run as they reached their first cup final in their debut campaign, after also claiming a 3-2 win over Orlando Pirates in the first round.
