Insiders close to both Sundowns and the player have indicated that there is an ambitious asking price for Khoza because of his high potential and bright future prospects in football.
The Siya sources added that the asking price for Khoza is expected to be around R35 million.
“You know every player has their price tag but it also depends on which club is interested in the player and since the interest for Mali is from France so that’s why the club is believed to be looking at round about R35 million. That would be fair knowing that he is still young and has a great future ahead of him,” the Siya source stated.
A second insider stated that Sundowns are looking to include a resale clause in the deal, ensuring they would earn additional revenue if Khoza is sold to another club in Europe before a certain age.
“So, it won’t just be the R35 million for the whole deal. They are looking at adding a clause which would give the team a certain percentage if Mali is sold by Rennes to another team within a certain period of time. Most teams do that mainly when it’s a young player and apparently Sundowns are also looking at that,” the second insider stated.
