Lionel Messi is much better than Cristiano Ronaldo, according to Angel Di Maria.
A player who has played with both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed the former Barcelona captain is much better than the ex-Real Madrid talisman.

Retired Argentina international Angel Di Maria is one a small group of players to have shared a dressing room with both Messi and Ronaldo.
The winger, currently at Benfica, played alongside Messi throughout his international career and at Paris Saint-Germain, while he spent time with Ronaldo in Madrid.
Di Maria has now provided his analysis of the two superstars, saying his compatriot is far ahead of the Portugal captain.
“I think Leo Messi has more dimensions as a footballer than Cristiano,” he said, according to Barca Universal.
“I have always said the same thing and I will continue to say it. They’re the two best players in history, but Messi represents a huge gap over Cristiano.
“Cristiano represents work, work, just work. Messi is a pure talent, a gift from god. He doesn’t need any effort, he’s just the best at this.
“That’s why the difference between them is so big, Leo can’t be compared to anyone.”

Messi and Di Maria won three international trophies, including the 2022 FIFA World Cup together for the Albiceleste.
