Despite fresh speculation linking Kaizer Chiefs with a move for Chippa United striker Bienvenu Eva Nga, well-placed sources have poured cold water on talk of a potential transfer.
The powerful Cameroonian forward, who is understood to be nearing the expiry of his contract at the end of June, has reportedly attracted renewed interest from top clubs in the Betway Premiership.

Chiefs were said to be among the suitors, reigniting past interest shown before Eva Nga’s switch to Orlando Pirates in 2022.
However, sources close to the club have dismissed suggestions that Amakhosi are preparing a formal approach for the 32-year-old, who netted three goals in 25 Betway Premiership appearances this past season.
“No, not at this stage, that’s not the move you can expect,” a source told the Siya crew. “There was a possibility of that in the past but not at this moment.”

Another insider added: “Chiefs are focused abroad for attacking players at the moment. I haven’t heard anything about the player you are mentioning.”
While Eva Nga’s physical presence and experience remain valued in the local game, it appears that Chiefs have shifted their attention elsewhere as they look to bolster their forward line ahead of the new campaign.
